Kosova Makers League aims to create an environment of innovation and creativity for elementary school children who are interested in science and technology. The project encourages children to develop their cognitive abilities by solving various problems with the help of robots.
Children will be required to build robots and also program them, whose work will be tested and judged. Mostly, work is done in groups which helps develop teamwork and communication. Also, one of the other goals is for children to learn to work with each other regardless of their gender, nationality and age.
Through the aspiration of “a robot for every child” we aim to fulfill the mission of the project which is “to inspire future leaders in science and technology”. Each team will be equipped with “mBots”, educational robots which enable the advanced development of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) in our education system.
The programming language used during the activities is “Scratch’. Scratch is a visual programming language created primarily for the use of children. This language encourages the use and reuse of codes.
