What is KOSOVA MAKERS LEAGUE?
Kosova Makers League is the biggest robotics competition in Kosovo. KML will be organized by the Foundation BONEVET.
The purpose of the competition is to create a positive and healthy environment, where children and youngsters will compete by solving a “tricky mission” with the help of the robot.
Our main goal is to make children more enthusiastic about science and technology, and foster children with team work. Moreover, our program enhances critical thinking, and problem solving in a creative way.
The platform that will be used for KML is the educational robot mBot (Bluetooth version) which facilitates the entrance to the robotics world, but also allows for more advanced use.
The competition is divided into two categories: classes from 1-5 from 5-9 from the elementary school. From September we are planning to include high schools as well (classes 10-12).
Kosova Makers Leage has 5 rounds, each of them happening every two months.
How to apply?
All the primary schools (public and private) and centers that work with children and youngsters have the right to apply for Kosova Makers League. Mentors responsible for their team are also responsible for the mBots that are loaned by BONEVET for the competition. Private or profitable schools/institutions for which there is a tuition fee, have to pay for the equipment needed to participate in KML.
